The story behind the name “plumsoft” began in 1993, during my university years, with a piece of software I developed to convert German postcodes to the new five-digit system. Its German name, PostLeitzahlenUmStellungs-SOFT, provided the inspiration. Do you remember “Rolf” and the “Fünf ist Trümpf” campaign? Some of our long-standing customers certainly do.
Next came a battered little red car with a roof-mounted “Emergency Computer Support” sign and two enthusiastic colleagues. In 1999, we launched “baubranche-online”, an innovative internet service for the construction industry at the time. Finally, in 2002, we founded plumsoft Systemhaus GmbH.
Until 2023, the company provided everyday, all-round IT support. Towards the end of this period, cloud hosting became an increasingly strong specialisation. Together with the economic upheaval and lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, this eventually led us to cease trading through the company and split the business into two separate companies.
Today, plumsoft Cloud Systems e.K. is an IT services business owned and run by Jürgen Walch, with an annual turnover currently just under €400,000. Our work now focuses on consulting, cloud hosting and virtualisation. We work as team players, in close collaboration with Smart-IT-Team, sharing workloads, parts of our infrastructure, a telephone system and office space.
We would be delighted to welcome you as a customer.
